The Plant Venue is an event space located in the up and coming Fondren Warehouse District in Jackson, MS and hosts over 120 events per year. The 2 acre site consists of a 10,000+/- square foot building which opens up to a 5,000+/- square foot courtyard. Some additional features include a full commercial kitchen, office space, a bar, dressing rooms, men and women’s parlors, retaining pond, 65 space parking lot (street parking also available), and is located within the CCID. 

The building was originally a 1960’s pipe distribution warehouse for Southern Pipe Supply. In 2019, the owners/developers demolished the existing flat roof and stripped the interior down to the original precast concrete structure. The new sawtooth roof was intentionally designed to be low energy and provide indirect natural light into each space. The new roof profile also runs stormwater off quickly to collect rainwater in a large cistern for irrigating the plants. The space is designed to be flexible and accommodate for many different event types and sizes. Spaces have both native and tropical landscapes built indoors and outdoors that provide a natural aesthetic within a preserved industrial environment. The Plant Venue interior design aims to highlight Mississippi’s subtropical landscape and to provide minimal need for decorating within each event space. The project has been labeled one of “Mississippi’s Greenest Buildings” by local architects and developers. The company is currently managing events and groundskeeping for the facility. The zoning is light industrial.

Note: The event business and building are for sale. All events through 2024-2025 will remain scheduled to be fulfilled. The Plant is continuing to take bookings for 2024-2025. The Plant is not taking bookings for 2026 at this time.
